The Mid-Asian Ibex is the largest ibex in the world with a horn length of up to 150cm. In Tajikistan and especially on our territory it is not uncommon to meet large males of 120cm or more. You will hunt in the Girgatal region.

Attention this hunting is practiced in mountain or high mountain, it requires a good physical condition and the aptitude for shooting at long distance.

 

When to hunt:

It is possible to hunt the Ibex from August 15 to November 30 and then from February 1 to March 1. However, we advise you from September 1 to November 15, the most favorable period for removing large males.

 

Course of the stay:

The stay takes place over 9 days including 7 days of hunting (day 2 to 8).

Most hunting trips to Tajikistan are made on horseback due to the vastness of the territory. This mode of travel will optimize your chances of success. This is why, we advise you a certain knowledge and experience of riding, an essential prerequisite!

The days are generally full with 8 to 10 hours of hunting where you will explore the heights of the mountains, you will scan lawns and cliffs, in search of your animal.

If necessary, a temporary base camp will be set up for the specific purpose of hunting an animal or a particular area. Large males are generally located in very high mountains at an altitude of 3,000 m and more.

Once the trophy has been located, you will finish your approach walk with the sole force of your legs. Good physical condition is an important success factor. In addition, long-range shooting up to 300 m is common. We therefore advise you to know your weapon and optics perfectly.

The main hunting camp is generally made up of local dwellings. These houses are equipped with the necessary comfort with shower and rest room. The kitchen is provided by the welcoming locals. Everything is done to satisfy you.

The weather is usually favorable and more or less predictable in this mountainous region. In November, during the day, the temperature is between 0 ° C and 10 ° C and at night between -10 ° C and - 15 ° C.
